Welcome to the Beacon! We are a community of believers that meet in Central Los Angeles. Our desire is to bring God glory by living our lives as a continuous expression of worship.

MISSION
As we worship God, we will reach the unreached, mend the wounded, teach believers, and send Christ-like servants into the world.
WE BELIEVE
That the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God, thus infallible and inerrant in the original writings, and serve as the final authority for the Christian.
In one true, sovereign and living God eternally existing in one essence, yet three co-equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
In the virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, resurrection, ascension, abiding intercession and future second coming of Jesus Christ who is the only begotten Son of God, truly God and truly man.
In the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who partakes in the divine work of creation, and inspiration, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, who regenerates, sanctifies, comforts, and equips believers with spiritual gifts, and who glorifies the crucified and risen Christ.
That God created humankind, male and female in his image for his own glory, but as a result of sin all humans are inherently corrupt by nature, enslaved to sin, and in need of salvation.
That God’s salvation is received by grace, through faith based solely on the atoning death of Jesus by which the believer is justified, regenerated and sanctified.
In the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit from the point of regeneration throughout the lifetime, effecting a transformation in the desires and wills of regenerated believers towards the likeness of Christ.
In the one universal church which is the body of Christ, visibly reflected by the local church, composed of believers, tasked with making disciples of Jesus, glorifying God, and continuing in obedience to her head, Christ.
That the ordinances of the church commanded by the Lord are baptism and the Lord’s Table (Communion).
The blessed hope of believers - the personal, visible, and imminent return of Jesus, and the eternal enjoyment of God’s presence by the saints in the everlasting kingdom.
The existence of a personal devil working to destroy the souls of men, and that he, all his angels and the unsaved will perish eternally in the lake of fire.
The Beacon has adopted the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. We believe it expresses a robust and faithful summary of biblical doctrine.
